The Florida Department of Transportation Releases New Information for the Blue Angel Parkway Road Widening Project

According to the latest information provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”), Blue Angel Parkway in Escambia County is currently being studied for a potential future road widening project.

FDOT conducted a public hearing April 10, 2025 (virtually and in person) to discuss the Blue Angel Parkway road widening project.  During the public meeting, FDOT officials stated that the FDOT will need to acquire 21.3  acres of right-of-way for this road widening project.  At this time, FDOT anticipates acquiring 297 parcels for this project.

FDOT anticipates the project study will be completed by mid-year 2026.  At that time, FDOT will determine when it will  move forward with the design phase of the project.
