According to the latest information provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”), 23rd Street in Bay County, Florida is currently being studied for a potential future road widening and a flyover at the intersection of 23rd Street and SR 390.
This road widening and flyover project is in the PD&E (Project Development & Environmental) phase which is to be completed by winter of 2026. The FDOT anticipates holding a public hearing in May (2025) to further discuss the development of FDOT’s study.
The purpose of the 23rd Street road widening and flyover study is to determine how to accommodate future traffic volume and to address safety issues along 23rd Street from US 98 to SR 390/St. Andrews Blvd. The total estimated distance of the study is 1.8 miles.
