The Florida Department of Transportation Moves Forward to Acquire Property for the Widening of US 319 in Leon County

The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) plans to widen US 319 in Leon County from L. L. Wallace Road to the Wakulla County Line. To complete the US 319 widening project, the FDOT plans to acquire via eminent domain 25 parcels of private property. To begin the eminent domain process, in the near future, the FDOT plans to send notifications to property owners to advise them that FDOT will be acquiring their property by eminent domain.
