The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) plans to expand State Road 87 in Santa Rosa County.  As an initial step toward the completion of this project, the FDOT developed and recently released new construction plans for two segments of the project.  Those segments are:  (1) the segment from north of State Road 4 to the Alabama state line and (2) the segment from south of Coldwater Creek to County Road 178.

The FDOT’s recently released construction plans indicate that the FDOT anticipates acquiring (by eminent domain, if necessary) 135 parcels of property to complete these two segments of the State Road 87 widening project.
