The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) plans to add a turn lane to State Road 296/Bayou Boulevard at the 12 Avenue Intersection in Escambia County.  As an initial step in the completion of this project, the FDOT recently developed and released preliminary right-of-way maps.  These preliminary right-of-way maps indicate that the FDOT plans to acquire (by eminent domain, if needed) three parcels of Escambia County property, and to acquire this property, the FDOT has budgeted over $250,000 in right-of-way acquisition funds for the fiscal years 2015 and 2016.
