The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) recently released new construction plans for the widening of State Road 313 from State Road 207 to State Road 16 in St. Johns County.  The new construction plans indicate that the FDOT plans to acquire (by eminent domain, if necessary) eighteen parcels of St. John’s County property to complete the project, and to do so, the FDOT has budgeted over $19 million in right-of-way acquisition funds for the fiscal years 2013-2015.

Fixel & Willis, a Florida law firm that represents property owners faced with the potential acquisition of property via eminent domain, has obtained the FDOT’s recently released construction plans and has studied them for its affected clientele.  If you own St. John’s County property that may be affected by the widening of State Road 313 and you have any questions or concerns about the FDOT’s recently released construction plans or Florida eminent domain law, please contact Fixel & Willis’s firm administrator, Susie Harris, by email at sharris@floridaeminentdomainattorneys.com or by telephone, toll free at (800) 848-7535.
